Stanimir Stoilov was reappointed as Bulgaria coach yesterday before naming his squad for next week's friendly against Switzerland.

Stoilov recalled five players who had been ignored by his predecessor Plamen Markov who was sacked following three draws in World Cup qualifiers and a humiliating 6-1 loss to Serbia in a friendly.

Central defenders Elin Topuzakov and Iliyan Stoyanov and left-back Ivaylo Petkov were recalled along with midfielder Dimitar Telkiyski and young striker Valeri Domovchiyski.

"I'll give a chance to some players who were forgotten recently as I want to see their shape," Stoilov told a news conference.

Bulgaria are third in European qualifying Group Eight with three points from three matches, seven points behind leaders Italy.
