The 50-odd drivers taking part in a demolition derby at Ta’ Qali yesterday afternoon had one ultimate aim: that their vehicle, or what was left of it, remained the only one standing. The derby was held by the Motor Sports Association to raise funds for L-Istrina, the annual charity marathon. The derby was the culmination of motor-related events that started in the morning.
