The windowpane of a bus was yesterday shattered by what the driver suspects to have been a gunshot.

The police said a loud noise was heard as the bus was heading towards Dingli on Rabat Road. However, they could not confirm what caused the damage and were still investigating last night.

The incident took place at about 7.30pm. There were only about three people on the bus at the time and no one was injured.
