Mgr Paul Cremona will today start a busy first week as Archbishop of Malta.

This morning he will visit St Luke's Hospital. On Wednesday morning, at 9.45 a.m., he will meet the elderly at Birkirkara's St Theresa Sanctuary while on Thursday - the day dedicated to religious - he will meet members of religious orders at St Monica Hall in Birkirkara.

The feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple, known as Candlemas, will be marked with a concelebration led by Mgr Cremona on Friday at 6 p.m. at St John's Co-Cathedral, in Valletta. There he will meet people who benefit from the Church's services.

On Sunday the Archbishop will meet families at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta' Qali at 3.30 p.m.

Organising committee thanks public, media

The organising committee for the consecration of Mgr Paul Cremona as Archbishop has expressed thanks to those who helped make it such a great experience.

The committee thanked the people for the warmth with which they welcomed Mgr Cremona.

It also expressed its appreciation for the part the media played in broadcasting the event.
