I can endorse what John Calleja wrote regarding the inefficiency of ARMS (Absolutely No Change At All At ARMS, November 27).
Back in May I received an invoice from ARMS and I noticed that they had changed the number of persons to one, when we are two persons living in the premises. I contacted them straightaway and was told to fill in a form which I did and took it to the WSC offices at Luqa in person.
For some time (months) I did not get a reply from them. Then in August I received another invoice and again the number of persons was one. So I sent them another e-mail informing them of this mis-take.
Between the end of October and November I was contacted via e-mail by three different persons from ARMS and each time I had to explain that their invoices were incorrect since we are two persons and not one which makes a lot of difference in the billing. Somehow they could not understand my reasoning so I sent them a calculation that I carried out through their own calculator (Enemalta/WSC) downloaded from their own website and proved that their invoices were based on one person and not two. The ones I sent them were based on two persons and the difference for both invoices was about €109.
To me it seems that they are not doing their homework properly. I did not invent the figures and I even compared them to another calculator operated by a private company.
In the meantime, as a goodwill gesture on my part, I paid what I feel is just and hope that eventually ARMS will agree with my reasoning.
