Calling all Gloster Canary breeders

Annual show next weekend

The Malta Gloster Breeder Society (MGBS) will host its annual show next weekend.

The MGBS National Gloster Show 2025 will take place at Qrendi's Sacred Heart Pastoral Centre (Ċentru Pastorali Qalb ta’ Ġesu) on Saturday and Sunday, November 29 and 30.

Event organisers described the show as bringing together leading breeders “to showcase excellence in breeding, quality, and presentation”.

Belgian expert Marc De Keyser and UK expert Neil Burtun will judge next weekend’s show. Both have judged competitions in their respective countries and internationally.

“The MGBS National Gloster Show offers bird enthusiasts, breeders, and the public an excellent opportunity to view outstanding Gloster Canaries and connect with Malta’s thriving ornithological community”, organisers said.

The show will open between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, and 8.30am and 12pm on Sunday.
