Steve Camilleri regained the Bog-liasco top-scorer spot last weekend when his side narrowly lost 9-7 away to third-placed Posillipo in an Italian Serie A1 league match.
Camilleri started with a bang as he scored the first four goals for his side, who were trailing 3-1 in the first session, but the Neptunes-bred forward obtained his hat-trick before the end of the first eight minutes.
A minute into the second session Camilleri again found the net to put Bogliasco ahead for the first time.
Posillipo drew level only for Alessandro di Somma to regain the lead for the visitors.
But again Posillipo equalised and a second from the end of the quarter they had Fabio Baraldi, who had scored two goals, expelled definitely for protesting.
In the third session Bogliasco lost concentration as they lost it 3-1 with Di Somma and Posillipo’s Fabrizio Buonocore both fouled out.
Again, the last session was evenly contested and it ended 1-1.
This was the second week in succession that Camilleri had scored four goals. He now occupies fifth place in the top-scorers’ list with 38 goals, jointly with Goran Fiorentini, of Savona.
