Car crashes into railings at St Vincent de Paul Home

Man injured in separate incident in Sta Venera

A car was wedged in the railings at St Vincent de Paul Residence in Luqa after a crash on Monday morning.

No one was injured, but the front part of the car ended up overhanging a drop to a grass area below the road level. No other vehicle was involved.

Members of the Civil Protection Department were on site to extract the driver and remove the vehicle.  

The management of the residence in a Facebook post thanked the authorities for their prompt and professional response.

Man injured in fall

In a separate accident, a man was injured in a fall of several metres in a shop at Qormi Road, Sta Venera.

The accident happened at around 12.30pm. The man was assisted by an ambulance crew and hospitalised.
