Carnival 2007 programme launched

Carnival 2007 will take place between February 16 and 20.

On February 16 there will be dancing competitions and company floats in the carnival enclosure, in Valletta, from 6 p.m. onwards. Tickets for the enclosure cost Lm1.50.

On February 17, an activity for children, including dancing, a float defilè and merriment along Republic Street, Valletta and in the carnival enclosure starts at 9.30 a.m. Tickets cost Lm2.

At 3.30 p.m., there will be dancing competitions followed by the entrance of triumphal floats and bands in the enclosure. Tickets cost Lm3.

On February 18, there will be dancing competitions followed by the entrance of the grand defilè in the enclosure and along the streets of Valletta. Tickets cost Lm3.50 and the activity starts at 2 p.m.

Dancing competitions will again be held on February 19 from 6 p.m. These will be followed by the entrance of dancing companies' floats in the enclosure. Tickets sell at Lm1.50.

On February 20, the final day of carnival, the grand defilè will enter the enclosure at 6 p.m. Tickets cost Lm1.50.

The grand finale will take place in St Anne Street, Floriana, from 6.30 p.m.
