Flyhalf Daniel Carter scored 22 points to lead New Zealand to a 44-12 win over England in their test match at Lancaster Park yesterday.

Carter scored a try, set up another for Richard Kahui and slotted three penalties and four conversions for his tally, while Ma'a Nonu, Sione Lauaki and Jimmy Cowan also scored second half tries for the All Blacks. Stephen Donald added a late conversion.

England scrumhalf Danny Care and wing Tom Varndell scored tries for the visitors, while replacement flyhalf Olly Barkley slotted a conversion.
