Certificate in supervision and management

The training centre is offering the International Certificate in Supervision and Management, a 30-hour course for supervisors, entry level managers, team leaders and project managers.

Backed by the Institute for Supervision and Management of the UK, the five-module course, delivered in a 'how to' approach, gives participants a headstart by combining the latest trends in management practice with the everyday reality of the workplace.

The five modules, each presented with case studies and practical exercises, include an introductory session, entitled "The Team Leader's Role", to establish why supervisors and first line managers are important for modern organisations.

Module 2 on Communication covers communication in management, oral presentation skills, written communication, and effective meetings; Module 3 on Managing People covers groups and teams, and improving job performance; Module 4 on Controlling Resources covers resource planning, managing time, controlling materials, financial awareness, and managing quality.

Module 5 on the Legal Framework covers industrial relations and health and safety.

New supervisors, new managers in all sectors, team leaders, owner/ managers of small businesses, and people looking for a career in management will find this course beneficial.

An introductory certificate from the UK Institute of Supervision and Management will be presented to participants successfully completing the course. Participants will also be eligible for 'affiliate' membership of the Institute at a special discount rate. The certificate is recognised all over Europe.
