Two men were yesterday granted bail after being charged with failing to obey police orders at the Hibs Ground, Corradino.

Grezzio Brignoli, 42, from Cospicua and Charlton Abela, 23, from Marsascala, were charged with jumping over the fence and invading the football pitch, trying to assault the referee and several supporters and assaulting and slightly injuring the linesman.

The two were granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm5,000 and ordered not to attend any sporting activity.
