Two men from the Ivory Coast and another from Liberia were yesterday evening arraigned and charged with conspiring to commit a crime and simulating an operation involving over Lm10,000 by unlawful means to the detriment of Anton Camilleri and others and with verbally threatening Mr Camilleri.

Benjamin Saybge, 39 of Liberia and Yaya Traore 31 and Yacou Doukoure 21, both of the Ivory Coast pleaded not guilty. They were remanded in custody.

The court was presided by Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Hererra. Police inspectors Michael Mallia and Kevin Borg prosecuted. Dr Franco Debono was defence counsel.
