A St Paul's Bay man was yesterday charged with holding the mother of his child against her will on two separate occasions.
Jean Claude Cassar, 28, pleaded not guilty to holding Nadia Grech against her will, using violence against her and slightly injuring her in Lija on Saturday.
He was also charged with threatening PS Stephen Micallef, PC Ivan Mifsud, PC Adelone Spiteri and PC Luigi Cordina in St Paul's Bay on Sunday, disobeying police and threatening Qawra police with a knife.
Cassar was also charged with holding Grech against her will in another incident last November 14, slightly injuring her and carrying a penknife without a licence.
He was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.
Police Inspectors Dennis Theuma and Louise Calleja prosecuted.
Dr Roberto Montalto appeared for the defendant.
