A 23-year-old man had been charged with illegally entering his parents' house and causing damage.

During an arraignment on Friday morning, Richard Attard, pleaded not guilty to trespassing into the Birkirkara house of his parents Richard and Emanuela Attard and causing over Lm50 damage on Thursday.

He also pleaded not guilty to uttering obscene words in public, breaching the peace and breaching the conditions of a previous release.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera heard Attard's parents explain that they did not want their son in their house at this stage. Having no fixed address, Attard was denied bail.

Police Inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
