A Libyan man was yesterday charged with importing some 800 grammes of cannabis resin into Malta on Monday.

Fathi Milud Bugseaa, 38, was also charged with the possession of cannabis in circumstances denoting it was not for his personal use.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded in custody.
