Two men were yesterday charged with stealing over Lm1,000 worth of items ranging from cash to electronic equipment.

Stephen Cucciardi, 33, of Senglea, and Brian Mallia, 29, of Zabbar pleaded not guilty to stealing the items to the detriment of Stephen Charles Kelly on February 6, handling stolen property and relapsing.

Superintendent Patrick Spiteri and Inspector Alfred Mallia prosecuted.

Dr Martin Fenech represented the defendants.
