An art exhibition entitled The Right to Fantasy, a collection of children's artwork from across Europe, has opened at St James Cavalier in Valletta. It will remain open until May 24.

The exhibition displays the colourful creations of children from schools and entities in 18 countries. The students of 18 primary, secondary schools and lyceums in Malta are also exhibiting their works, described as "wonderful tapestries of fantastic colours, images and desires".

Speaking at the inauguration, Youth and the Arts Minister Jesmond Mugliett welcomed "the creative energy and the excitement put in the collection of art works".

The exhibition is celebrating Malta's presidency of the Council of Europe and has been organised on the occasion of Europe Day on Friday.

It has been organised by the Youth and Arts Ministry, the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts and the Department of Student Services and International Relations of the Education Division in association with St James Cavalier.
