The new Association of Parents of Children in Church Schools, which has just held its annual general meeting, has outlined its priorities for the next two years.

Mariella Grech, president, said the association was finalising preparations for an art/essay-writing competition. It was planned to hold an exhibition of the best 100 paintings shortly.

Other planned activities include ongoing meetings with PTA representatives of Church schools as well as a consultative conference with the PTAs; a seminar at the beginning of the scholastic year for those parents whose children will be entering a Church school next October and the setting up of the association's website so as to render communication between parents, the association and similar organisations more accessible.
