After not having been to the cinema for about two years, I decided in this past month to see two films at the Eden Century. On both occasions I was quite disgusted to find the toilet facilities seriously below the standard expected from the Eden Leisure Group, which claims to be "Malta's leading entertainment company".

On both occasions there was no toilet paper, no soap and the floors and toilets themselves were filthy. On politely reporting the matter to the manager on duty I was told bluntly that the cleaners had left half an hour before. As my complaint was made at 9 p.m. on a busy Saturday, I was quite surprised that not one cleaner was kept on to make regular checks of the toilets throughout the evening considering the hundreds of people who would be making use of these facilities.

Furthermore, I expect that if a paying customer brings a shortcoming to the attention of management the situation is remedied rather than ignored as it clearly was in this case. It's a shame that so much effort is aimed at getting people through the doors but little is made to take care of customers once they're in.
