Twenty-two inch tall Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal is today seeking to be officially recognised as the world's shortest adult after reaching his 18th birthday.

Min Bahadur Ranamagar, of the newly-created Khagendra Thapa Magar Foundation says an application has been sent to the Guinness World Record office with documents to support their claim.

Mr Magar celebrated his birthday yesterday.
