Claire Baluci concert (2)

Congratulations to Claire Baluci and her management team for the spectacular show at the Hilton on October 21. It was an amazing show and Claire's majestic performance on the digital theatre organ was something I had never seen before.

I was very disappointed to see that the theatre was not full and I cannot believe that the Maltese are so racist. I read that large, important firms refused to sponsor the charity event as proceeds were to be donated to the children of Africa who are currently in great need.

How can one call these innocent and suffering children "Malta's future illegal immigrants"? Don't the Maltese have a conscience?

Now that the Commonwealth meeting is to be held in Malta this month, it is not positive to have Malta seen as a racist island.

In this respect, as a non-racist Maltese, I ask the government to reorganise the concert with Claire Baluci and her management team, ensuring that the theatre will not only be fully booked but overcrowded, and that the firms which originally refused to sponsor the event would now come forward.

In this way the Maltese could prove to all the Commonwealth countries that we do have a heart.
