Collection of voting documents starts on Tuesday
Arrangements for early voting announced
The distribution of voting documents by the police has been completed, and those who have not received theirs may collect them from Tuesday, the Electoral Commission said.
Voters need to call personally at their local police station and produce their ID card.
Residents of St Paul’s Bay can collect their documents from Qawra Police Station while residents of Attard, Balzan, Cospicua, Dingli, Fontana, Għargħur, Għarb, Għasri, Għaxaq, Gudja, Gżira, Ħamrun, Senglea, Iklin, Kalkara, Kerċem, Kirkop, Lija, Marsa, Marsaskala, Mdina, Mġarr, Msida, Pietà, Pembroke, Safi, San Lawrenz, Santa Luċija, Siġġiewi, Ta’ Xbiex, Xagħra and Xgħajra need to call at their local council office.
The documents may be collected on Tuesday between 3pm and 9pm; Wednesday to Friday between 8am and 1pm and 3pm and 9pm; Saturday between 8am and 10.00 pm and Sunday 24th May between 8am and 12.00 pm.
Arrangements for early voting
Voters who shall be abroad or hospitalised on polling day, Saturday, 30th May, 2026 may cast their vote on Saturday, 23rd May, 2026, the Electoral Commission said. They, however, need to make a declaration on their unavailability on polling day by calling at the Office of the Electoral Commission, Ex-Trade Fair Grounds, Naxxar, or at the Electoral Office, Triq Ta’ Wara s-Sur, Victoria, Gozo, from 8am. to 1pm. and from 3.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m or on Friday between 8am and Noon.
Applicants need to produce their ID cards.
Voters registered in Malta will cast their vote at the Vote Counting Complex Naxxar while those registered in Gozo will vote at the Government Experimental Farm, Mġarr Road, Xewkija.
Voting at the prison
Those who were prison inmates up to May 16 and are eligible to vote may do so only at the correctional facility on May 23.
Relatives who have their voting documents are to hand them over to them by noon on May 22, the commission said.
