Collective guilt
Just another letter about the refugees beaten up last week. I am personally glad it happened because now the veil has been lifted from our eyes and we have no more illusions about what the Maltese are really all about. Just engage your work colleagues...
Just another letter about the refugees beaten up last week. I am personally glad it happened because now the veil has been lifted from our eyes and we have no more illusions about what the Maltese are really all about.
Just engage your work colleagues in a discussion about the refugee problem, engage yourself in a discussion if need be and you will surely discover that the large majority of us are racists through and through.
Sad but true.
What the AFM did is what most of us would do. The soldiers involved are simply our conscience run riot. We are no less guilty than them.
If you count yourself on the other side, a non-racist, who believes Malta should pay its dues to the international community and stop believing it exists in a bubble where problems are limited to taxation of plastic bags and a few less holidays a year, then take a stand, make your opinion known among the people you know. Let the majority know that there is another way.
