¤ A day of solemn adoration, with animation by group leaders and their families, is being held at Fontana parish church on Wednesday.

A ceremony for the presentation of the prizes for the best cribs and best decorated windows competition is being held on Thursday at 10.30 a.m.

¤ Tombola is being played at the Victory Band club, Xaghra, on Thursday at 1.30 p.m.

¤ The feast of Holy Mary Mother of God is being celebrated on Thursday, New Year's Day.

Bishop Cauchi will lead the Matins at the Cathedral, Victoria, at 8.45 a.m., followed by pontifical concelebrated Mass.

Later, at 11 a.m., he will lead a pontifical concelebrated Mass at St George's Basilica.

He will also lead concelebrated Mass to close the Forty Hours adoration at Nadur Basilica, at 3.30 p.m.

¤ Masses at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary will be said on Thursday at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15 a.m. and 5 p.m.

¤ Bishop Cauchi will lead a pontifical concelebrated Mass at St George's Basilica, Victoria, on Wednesday at 5 p.m. He will then lead a pontifical concelebrated Mass at the cathedral at 6.15.

¤ An evening of drama, music and dance is being organised by the local council, at the Qala primary school's exhibition hall, on Sunday at 1.30 p.m. Sweets will be distributed to the children present.
