¤ A car boot sale is being organised by the Friends of the Sick and Elderly in Gozo, at the car park in Marsalforn, today from 9 a.m. onwards. The fee is Lm3 per car.

The Victory Band will play marches at 11 a.m. The church of Jesus of Nazareth will be open for public adoration at 2 p.m.
The archpriest, Mgr Eucharist Sultana, will concelebrate Mass with the collegiate chapter and clergy at 5.30, followed by a procession with the Holy Eucharist ending with a sacramental blessing on the church square, where a musical performance, with the participation of the Broadcasters will be held, later in the evening. Festivities include a wine-tasting competition, and a wine and pizza party with tombola.
¤ The Catholic Action is opening its social year at its central office in Victoria today. At 5.30 p.m. Bishop Cauchi will concelebrate Mass with ecclesiastical assistants of Catholic Action. This will be followed by educational and other activities on stage.
¤ Activites are being organised this week to mark the feast of St Francis next Sunday at the church dedicated to him in Victoria.
The relic of the saint will be carried in a procession on St Francis Square, on Friday at 6.40 p.m., followed by a concelebrated Mass, led by Fr Michael Camilleri, OP, at 7.
On Saturday at 7 p.m. the vicar-general of Gozo, Mgr Giovanni B. Gauci, will concelebrate Mass with the Franciscan community. The Laudate Pueri choir, led by Fr George J. Frendo, will take part.

¤ A diocesan activity to mark the Year of the Rosary is being held at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary on Saturday. A cortege will leave from near the aurecaria tree at 7.30 p.m. for the sanctuary, where Bishop Cauchi will deliver a homily and impart sacramental blessing after a rosary animation. This will be followed by a prayer vigil and Mass. Those attending are requested to bring a candle during the cortege. Rosary beads will be collected for the missions.
¤ The Holy Name Society is holding a week of talks and prayers of reparation against blasphemy on the parvis of Xaghra basilica from tomorrow to Sunday at 7.30 p.m.
