¤ The feast of Our Lady of Succour is being celebrated in Kercem today.

Pontifical Mass, led by Bishop Nikol Cauchi with panegyric by Mgr Lawrence Sciberras, will be held at 9 a.m. The Victoria Band of Mellieha will play marches through the main streets of Kercem starting at 11.30 p.m.

Mass will also be celebrated at 6 p.m. followed by marches performed by the Mnarja and St Gregory Bands at 6.45 p.m. and solemn vespers, led by Mgr Gregory Grech.

A procession, led by Canon Carmelo Borg and with the participation of Mro Orlando Crescimanno performing the antiphon and the St Gregory Band, directed by Mro Mark Gauci, will be held at 7.45 p.m.

It will be followed by marches by the St Mary Band of Zebbug, Gozo, and a fireworks display.

¤ A barbecue, organised by the Kercem Feast Decorations Committee, will be held tomorrow at 9 p.m. Tickets may be obtained from the parish centre or by calling the group's president Mario Vella (tel: 9946-1662).

¤ The liturgical feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is being celebrated at Ta' Hamet church on Tuesday. Mass, led by church rector Mgr Carmelo Hili, will be held at 6 a.m.

The rosary will be said at 7 p.m. followed by concelebrated Mass, led by Bishop Cauchi, at 7.30 p.m. and a procession.

¤ Anglican Mass, celebrated by senior chaplain Fr Alan Woods, will be held at the chapel of the Sacred Heart Seminary, Enrico Mizzi Street, Victoria, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. For more information call: 2155-2483.

¤ A musical, Margerita, with lyrics by Lawrence Grima and organised by Sannat Drama Group, is being staged on St Margaret Square on Thursday at 8.30 p.m. Tickets at Lm1 and 50c for children may be obtained from the square before the performance.

¤ A wine and pizza party, organised by the Feast Decorations' Committee in collaboration with the External Feasts Committee, will be held on Ghajnsielem Square on Thursday at 7 p.m.

¤ A coffee morning, to raise funds for the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady of Xaghra, will be held on Thursday. For tickets or more information call the parish office on tel: 2155-1042 or 2155-7881.

¤ A variety show, Gozo Summer Nights - Beatlemania, organised by the Malta Tourism Authority, is being held at Il-Menqa, Marsalforn, on Friday at 8 p.m.

¤ A summer office computer course for adult beginners is starting next week. The course consists of practical sessions focusing on computer basics and skills, word-processing, spreadsheets, accounts, desktop publishing, Internet, personal Website and free e-mail using ADSL connection and LAN technology in an air-conditioned computer room. ¤ A diocesan Marian manifestation is being held in Marsalforn on July 30. A procession with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima from il-Menqa to Marsalforn promenade will be held at 7.30 p.m. It will be followed by Mass led by Bishop Nikol Cauchi.
