• The Gozo Amateur Radio Society is holding its annual general meeting at the Victoria Scout Group headquarters, St Domenica Street, Victoria, today at 10 a.m. All radio amateurs, short wave listeners, electronics, communications and computer enthusiasts and other interested persons are invited to attend - there is no obligation to join the society.

• Celebrations to mark the feast of St John Bosco continue today with a concelebrated Pontifical Mass led by Bishop Mario Grech, with the participation of the Chorus Urbanus choir, directed by Mro John Galea, at the Don Bosco Oratory chapel, Victoria, at 9 a.m.

At 9.45, a horse and pony parade leaves St Francis Square for the Oratory grounds, followed by a Pontifical Mass during which Fr George Mercieca will bless pets.

Lunch will be held at the Calypso hotel at 12.15 p.m.

At 4.30, St George's parish archpriest Mgr Joseph Farrugia celebrates Mass. The Laudate Pueri Choir, under Fr George Frendo, will participate.

At 4.45, the La Stella Band will march from the primary school in Vajringa Street to St Augustine Square.

The procession with the statue of St John Bosco by Wistin Camilleri starts at 5.30 p.m., with the participation of children, youth and past pupils of the Oratory, together with students of Salesian schools, accompanied by the La Stella Band. Mgr Farrugia will lead the procession. There will be a fireworks display afterwards.

The Gozo Youth Wind Band and Orchestra, conducted by Mro Joseph Grech, stages the "Don Bosco Grand Concert - Spectacular Themes" at the oratory hall at 7.30 p.m. A reception will follow.

The recitation of the rosary and Sacramental blessing will be held tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. in the Don Bosco Oratory chapel.

At 7, Mass will be said with a short message by Fr George Borg.

The film Mamma Margherita: La mamma di Don Bosco will be screened at the oratory hall at 8 p.m. Entrance is free.

Mass and solemn vespers led by Fr Effie Masini will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

At 8, the film Giovanni: Il ragazzo del sogno, will be soon at the oratory hall. Entrance is free.

• The liturgical feast of St John Bosco is being celebrated on Wednesday at the Don Bosco Oratory chapel. Mass will be said at 9, 10, 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. There will be the recitation of the rosary at 6.30 p.m..

At 7, Cathedral archpriest Mgr Dr Joseph Vella Gauci will celebrate Mass, with the participation of the Chorus Ecclesiae Cathedralis, directed by Mro Colin Attard.

On Thursday at 7 p.m., a thanksgiving Mass with special prayers in remembrance of past pupils of the oratory.

• Theology courses for the laity continue at the Sacred Heart Seminary, Victoria, on Wednesday at 5 p.m. with talks by Mgr Dr Joseph Bezzina and Bishop Nikol Cauchi.

• Bishop Grech leads a concelebrated Mass for the presentation of babies at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary on Saturday at 4.30 p.m.
