¤ A bazaar with Easter treats, in aid of Xaghra parish church, will be held at a shop by the church today. Traditional figolli, qassatat tal-Ghid (baked in a stone oven) and honey rings will be on sale. For more information phone 7920-5316.

¤ A figolli and cake fair will be held at the Don Bosco Oratory in Victoria today from 8 a.m. onwards.

¤ Bewitched is showing at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.

¤ A procession to mark the Passion of Christ leaves the Cathedral today at 6 p.m., accompanied by the Leone Band.

¤ A Last Supper exhibition is will be held at the Nadur Boys' MUSEUM next week. The exhibition features 13 life-size figures of Jesus and his apostles by James Azzopardi of Nadur. The set-up is biblical and faithful to Jewish Passover traditions. The exhibition will be open today from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m.; tomorrow till Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.; Thursday from 8 to 11 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 to 9.30 p.m.

¤ Forgiveness under the Cross, a play by parish priest Fr Ignazio Borg, will be staged by the Kercem Feast Committee at the parish church tomorrow at 7.30 p.m.

The play is about San Giovanni Gualberto who lived in Florence from 985 to 1073, and has a powerful message about forgiveness.

¤ Is-Salib tal-Fidwa, an Easter pageant by JoAnne Debrincat, will be staged by the Ghajnsielem Drama Group at the parish church tomorrow and Tuesday at 8 p.m.

¤ The St Joseph Band is holding a concert of sacred music for Holy Week at the old parish church on Independence Square, Ghajnsielem, on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.

¤ Via Lucis 2006, a multi-media account of the mystery of suffering from a Christian perspective, will be held by the Fontana Arts Foundation at the Gozo Ministry exhibition hall, St Francis Square, Victoria, on Wednesday at 8 p.m. and on April 15 at 10.30 a.m. Mro Stephen Attard is responsible for artistic co-ordination. Entrance is free.

¤ The programme of events for Holy Week at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary include:

The solemn celebration of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday at 6 p.m. Visitations to the Altar of Repose start at 9.

The commemoration of the Passion of Christ starts on Good Friday at 3.30 p.m.

On Easter Saturday Bishop Mario Grech leads a Marian celebration at 9 a.m. An Easter vigil of prayer starts at 8.30 p.m.

¤ The Legion of Mary is organising the Seven Visits on Good Friday morning. Transport leaves St Augustine Square, Victoria, at 9.30 a.m. and will return at 12.30 p.m. Fares at Lm1 per person will be collected on the day. The visits will be led by a guide. Visitors of any religious denomination are invited. Tourists are also welcome.

¤ Good Friday processions will be held in various parishes.

The procession from St George's Basilica in Victoria leaves at 6.30 p.m., with the participation of the La Stella Band.

In Xaghra, the procession, with the participation of the Victory and Precursor bands, leaves Our Lady of Victory basilica at 6 p.m..

In Nadur, the procession leaves St Peter and St Paul basilica, with the participation of the Mnarja Band, at 6 p.m.

In Zebbug, the procession with the participation of the Santa Marija Band leaves the Assumption church at 6.30 p.m.
