¤ On the occasion of the titular feast of Our Lady of Patronage, Mass will be said today on the hour between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Ghasri church. Bishop Nikol Cauchi leads a Pontifical concelebrated Mass at 4.30 p.m.
¤ Bishop Nikol Cauchi leads a concelebrated Mass on the occasion of the feast of St Francis of Assisi at St Francis' Church, Victoria, today at 9.30 a.m. The Laudate Pueri Choir will be directed by Fr George Frendo.
¤ The feast of St Francis of Assisi, will also be marked at St Anthony's Church, Ghajnsielem. Fr Albert Micallef leads a sung Mass at 8.30 a.m. At 10, animals and pets will be blessed outside the convent, followed by Mass at 11.
Sung vespers at 5.15 p.m. will be followed by Mass led by Fr Paul Galea. A party will be held in the convent afterwards.
The St Anthony Choir will perform with the orchestra, directed by Mro Frankie Debono.
¤ Robots is being shown at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30 p.m.
¤ The Malta Historic Cities Festival will be held in Victoria on Saturday. There will be folk dancing by the Aurora Folk Group on Independence Square at 10.30 a.m. and noon. A re-enactment will be held in Palm Street and behind St George's Basilica at 11.
Members of the Historical Re-enactment Group will be joined by foreign re-enactors to reproduce the Gozitans' uprising against the French in 1798 on Independence and Cathedral squares at 11.30 a.m.
¤ The University of Malta's Economics Department is offering a course leading to a Master's in Economics at the Gozo Centre.
The course starts this month and will be spread over two semesters. Lectures will be held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Candidates must possess a general degree at category II or better in Economics or a related subject.
