¤ The feast of St Paul Shipwrecked, the first feast of the season in Gozo, is being celebrated at Munxar today.

At 9.15 a.m. Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass during which Canon John Sultana will deliver the panegyric.

Vespers will be led by Mgr Joseph Curmi at 6.30 p.m.

The procession, led by parish priest Canon Frankie Bajada, accompanied by the Victory Band, leaves the church at 7.30. During the procession, the La Stella band will perform on the main square.

The procession will end with a sacramental blessing, delivered by Canon Mario Borg at 10. The statue of St Paul will then be put back into the church as fireworks will be let off and marches will be played.

¤ Bishop Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass to mark Corpus Domini today at 4 p.m. at Ghasri parish church. A procession with the Blessed Sacrament will follow.

¤ Bishop Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass tomorrow at 5 p.m. at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, during which a number of extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist will be appointed.

¤ A bazaar in aid of the missions in Guatemala is being held from Tuesday to Friday in Palm Street, Victoria,.

¤ The Ministry for Gozo and the Ministry for Rural Affairs and the Environment are holding an "Eat for Life" event as part of Environment Week which is being held to commemorate World Environment Day, on Wednesday from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m. at Villa Rundle Gardens, Victoria.

The event will include a talk and demonstration by lifestyle consultant Kathryn Borg on healthy food for adults and children.

¤ The Diocesan Commission for the Lay Apostolate (KDAL) is organising a pilgrimage to close the National Eucharistic Congress on the Granaries in Floriana on Friday. The group will board the ferry from Mgarr at 5.15 p.m. Tickets may be obtained from the parish priests and archpriests of all parishes in Gozo.

¤ A high tea and tombola is being held to raise funds for the decorations for the feast of Our Lady of Victories on Friday at 8 p.m. at Xaghra youth centre. Tickets may be bought from the circle.

¤ A coffee morning is being organised on June 7 at 9 a.m. at the Crystal Palace, Marsalforn. The proceeds will be going towards the committee in charge of setting up a monument to Pope John Paul II in Victoria. For tickets phone 2155-1940.
