The Malta Union of Bank Employees (MUBE) has ordered its members at HSBC to observe a communications ban between 8 am and 11 am today because of what it said was the bank’s continued intransigent position in talks on a new collective agreement.

The dispute is over salaries, the duration of the agreement and favourable home loans for bank employees.
