The director of employment and industrial relations, Frank Pullicino, has called a conciliation meeting for today between the General Workers` Union and Bank of Valletta following the breakdown of talks on the revision of the collective agreement, the union said.

The union said the management had continued to insist on its financial proposal, described by the GWU as "unacceptable and embarrassing".
