Malcolm Mifsud, the 33-year-old traffic police seargent from Birkirkara who was grieviously injured in a traffic accident in Floriana yesterday is still in the Intensive Therapy Unit but his condition is stable, the police said.

PS Mifsud was seriously injured when his motorcycle skidded and crashed into an electricity pole on the Valletta ring road near the Excelsior Hotel.

The accident happened at around 11.30 a.m. yesterday.
