Henry-John Xuereb, 40 of Gudja, was yesterday conditionally discharged for three years after pleading guilty to stealing a digital camera and a handbag from a car in San Gwann.

The court noted that the accused had bound himself to make good for the items that had been stolen.

Dr Michael Schriha appeared for the accused.

Inspector Martin Sammut prosecuted.
