The Directorate General for Employment and Social Affairs of the European Commission will be holding a conference on Women And Men In An Enlarged Europe in Malta between April 1 - 3.

The aim of the conference is to highlight and discuss the issues and challenges related to the equal treatment of women and men in an enlarged Europe.

It will cover different aspects such as transposition of the Community acquis in respect of equality for women and men, gender mainstreaming in policies and activities and the roles of the different actors in promoting the principle of equality for women and men.
