Apart from other important considerations, I do not think that the Labour Party will consider favourably John Guillaumier's suggestion to reduce the number of holidays in Malta as stated in his letter Too Many Holidays (March 24).

There is a benefit for "workers" in holidays, in that they get double time when working on these days. Another consideration is that a political party that legislates against the popular traditions deeply engraved in the nation's lifeblood is asking for a negative vote.

And I do not think that suggestions emanating from "hate" should be given even superficial consideration.
