I was astonished by the behaviour and `arguments` of Dr Toni Abela on Xarabank. Apart from continuously interrupting others, his line of thought on the relations and discussions with the EU are, to say the least, pathetic.
Towards the end of the programme, Dr Abela`s smoke bubble was burst, when David Casa simply brushed away Dr Abela`s standing by stating what is commonly known to many, that is, that Dr Abela`s political history is full of contradictory statements.
To this Dr Abela went red and challenged Mr Casa to state such occasions, something Mr Casa immediately did reminding him that some years ago he was in favour of Malta joining the EU.
I would like to share with your readers another contradictory comment made recently by Dr Abela.
Some days ago while zapping the TV channels, I came across a programme on Super 1 where Dr Abela was being interviewed by Norman Hamilton.
During this interview Dr Abela highlighted his great admiration for the work of the nuns of Mother Teresa in India, suggesting that he would consider redoing some fieldwork with these miserable fellow humans in India.
This claim was commendable had Dr Abela not followed it up by saying that had he not family responsibilities in Malta he would grab a kalashnekov and join the Palestinians.
