Cooking college for cooking holidays

An episode of a trendy lifestyle programme is currently being filmed in Malta, following successful negotiations by the Malta Tourism Authority's Frankfurt office.

Fit for Fun, which is aired during prime time every Sunday on Germany's VOX television, appeals to a young audience interested in sports and fitness.

The filming will take place until tomorrow in various locations around Malta.

Television presenter Pierre Geisensetter will introduce viewers to attractions such as diving and cycling, as well as various wellness facilities.

German TV chef Ranier Mitze, who has been engaged by the MTA to promote Malta and Maltese cooking will also be in Malta during the filming.

Next year, Mr Mitze is to publish a cooking book aimed at revitalising traditional Maltese cooking. There are also plans for a cooking college to be opened in Malta, which would attract visitors to Malta for cooking holidays.

The cast and crew of Fit for Fun are being hosted by the MTA and supported by Air Malta.
