The Malta Chamber of Commerce has signed a cooperation agreement with its Hungarian counterpart, which will enable closer collaboration between the two chambers and the promotion of business between their respective members.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the local chamber by its president, Reginald Fava, who accompanied President Guido de Marco, during his visit to Hungary last month.

During his visit, Mr Fava gave a speech to Hungarian investors and business people at the headquarters of the International Trade Development of Hungary Co.

The chamber president gave a comprehensive overview of the Maltese economy, quoting historical facts and latest economic statistics. He spoke about foreign direct investment and the latest endeavours of the Maltese government in this regard particularly through the Business Promotion Act.
