Bishop George Bugeja blesses Mġarr harbour

Last Sunday, the Church in Malta celebrated the solemnity of the most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, known as Corpus Christi. On this occasion, all parishes in Gozo celebrated sung mass, followed Eucharistic processions in their respective localities.

At the parish church of Our Lady of Loreto in Għajnsielem, concelebrated mass was led by archpriest Joseph Hili, together with the Guardian of the Franciscan Community,  Marcello Ghirlando OFM, and Fr Gabriel Gauci.

Following the celebration, the procession with the Holy Eucharist made its way from the parish church to St Anthony’s church.

En route, the procession stopped at the belvedere in Triq Ħamri, where Bishop George Bugeja OFM imparted a Holy Eucharist blessing upon Mġarr harbour.

Taking part in the procession were Fr Hili, Fr Ghirlando OFM, Canon Joe Cardona, Fr Gauci, Fra Darren Abela OFM, and Fra Christopher Bilocca OFM. The liturgy was animated by the Lauretana choir under the direction of Lelio Spiteri.
