Lidl deal turns sour as developer freezes cash over Żebbuġ site dispute

Central Business Centres says Lidl has failed to deliver part of site to the company

CBC and Lidl signed a deal to redevelop the Żebbuġ site back in 2017. Lidl opened a supermarket there earlier this year.

Public filings by CBC indicate that as part of that deal, Lidl was to provide the company with an underground level by the end of Q3 of this year.
