Council calls for direct route

The Marsascala local council has asked the Malta Transport Authority to introduce a new public transport route from the locality to the University of Malta.

The council deplored the fact that the locality was not included in the new transport routes and stated that a direct bus route from Marsascala to the university, the Junior College and to Paceville should be set up for students and young people in the locality.

"We appeal to the Malta Transport Authority to set up this route after we were the first local council to suggest that these routes should be operated from localities," the council said yesterday.
