Council magazine under fire

The Nationalist Party College of Councillors has accused the Labour mayor and councillors of Sta Lucija of using the council's magazine for Labour Party propaganda.

The college said that this month's issue of the magazine included an article on a congress for Labour councillors giving publicity to the congress organised by the MLP last October.

It said the council magazine was financed by public funds and should not have been used for partisan politics. It was there to inform residents on the works being carried out in the locality.

The same council had not carried a report on the mayors' meeting, organised by the Local Councils Association, the college said.
