A man was yesterday charged with making use of counterfeit money at a service station.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi heard Martin Pirotta, 29, of Marsa plead not guilty to making use of the counterfeit bills and defrauding Auto Market Service Station, in Zebbug, of less than Lm100 on and before Thursday.

Mr Pirotta was granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm2,000.

Police Inspector Joseph Abdilla prosecuted.

Dr Anglu Farrugia appeared for Mr Pirotta.
