Short courses and diplomas

An extensive programme of part-time courses, including programmes for employees in the tourism and hospitality industry, has been launched by Future Focus.

Programmes will be held at various times to allow suit participants' needs. Childminding facilities are also available.

The programmes in sales management and marketing have proven popular.

Four out of the eight students who received their results in the past few weeks, obtained a distinction and with other successful students they will be presented with their diploma certificates in a ceremony which will be organised in mid-May.

Over 100 part-time students are registered for training at Future Focus. Of these, 12 students form the first group following a Diploma in Purchasing and Resourcing Management, the first of its kind to be launched in Malta.

A diploma programme in Stores Management and Stock Control starts next month.

Other diploma courses available include those in modern management, human resources, advertising and public relations, Business Economics and Commerce and Business English.

Future Focus represents Cambridge International College and prepares students for the college's examinations. The examinations are set and marked in the UK and the diplomas are issued by the UK college.

Students can, upon successful completion further their studies with an Honours graduate diploma, a Bachelors in Business Administration or an MBA.

Classes are held once weekly for four months and each lecture is two hours long.

Other courses to be launched shortly include courses in Business French and Business German.
