A magistrate put off testimony by Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi and chief of staff Keith Schembri in libel cases on Thursday pending the outcome of application filed by Simon Busuttil and MEP David Casa calling for a fresh magisterial inquiry following recent revelations by the Daphne Project.
“I wish to work as serenely as possible,” Magistrate Depasquale explained, “It’s not easy but I’d rather first decide upon the other case presented before me since today’s cases might have a bearing on that case.”
Today I was again prepared to testify and expose all the lies maliciously spread by @SimonBusuttil, but his repeated maneuvers led the Court to order that my testimony be postponed to a later date. Why doesn’t Busuttil want me to testify?

Both Dr Mizzi and Mr Schembri were present in court to give their evidence.
The cases were adjourned to June, by which time Magistrate Depasquale is
expected to have reached a decision on the request for a fresh
magisterial inquiry.
The cases were instituted by Mr Schembri against Dr Busuttil, and dr Mizzi against Daphne Caruana Galizia and Dr Busuttil among others. They stemmed from comments about the Panama Papers revelations.
Cross-examination postponed yet again. @keithaschembri can run but he can’t hide. One day the #truth will out. #PanamaPapers @FbdnStories https://t.co/TfDevj1ShQ
