The above crane was placed in this public road in Sta Venera over two years ago with no permits from Mepa, local council or police and restricting the access to the large garages opposite making them almost useless. Numerous reports to the authorities concerned have been made with no positive results for the removal of the crane. It seems that contractors can do almost anything and are only stopped perhaps when a fatality occurs.

When will contractors consider the neighbours' needs and to give them their rights to use their property, as they should, with no inconvenience? Wherever you see property development in Malta the contractors make money and neighbours suffer damages at their own expense.
