Massimo Cremona (picture) looks to have earned enough points to finish the year second in the Federation of International Sport of Table Football (FISTF) rankings behind Eric Verhagen, of Holland.

In the latest issue of the rankings, Cremona retained his runner-up position for the sixth consecutive month. He's well ahead of third-placed Vasco Guimares, of Portugal.

This year, Cremona participated in almost every European tournament in 15 different countries, some of them even on more than one occasion. He is currently playing for CS Reggiana.

With the Italian Serie A side, Cremona reached the Champions League final after his move from Belgium's SC Tempoux last August.

Cremona was recently in Naples for the Coppa Italia for teams. In the group phase Reggiana beat Ternana 4-0, Versilia 4-0 and Torino 2-1. In the Last 16, they had the better of Triestina 3-0 before going out in the quarter-final to eventual winners Perugia 1-2.
