Massimo Cremona turned out for F. Lli Bari Reggio Emilia in the first round of the Serie A last weekend.

The champions made a flying start, winning eight of their first nine games and drawing the other.

They beat Sessana 3-1, CCT Roma 2-1, Bologna 2-1, Torino 4-0, Urbino 3-0, Milano 2-0, Perugia 3-1 and Pisa 1-0 and drew 2-2 with Napoli. Derek Conti, Samuel Bartolo and Mark Gauci figured for CCT Roma.

"I am delighted with the team's excellent results in the first round," Cremona, who played in all nine of his team's matches, said.

"We are the champions and our first-round performance underlined the strength of our squad. It's important that we show the same form when the second round takes place in mid-April."
